Los Angeles voters have 58 hours left to cast their ballots. In case you missed it, I published my voter guide! Please send to your people in LA (and California because we have some extremely important and misleading statewide propositions on the ballot). Especially spread the word about these races/measures:
LA District Attorney: George Gascón is seeking re-election against a Republican, who recently registered as an independent to conceal his conservative politics. Gascón reduced incarceration by 2,700. His opponent vows to reinstate racist policies like trying kids as adults, cash bail, and the death penalty.
Prop 6: This measure would abolish slavery in California prisons. This should be a slam dunk, but it’s not polling well.
Prop 33: The landlord lobby has spent $125 million spreading misinformation about this measure. Prop 33 would allow local governments to expand rent control. You should vote YES! (My Instagram post debunks the most common myths if you want to share.)
Prop 36: The most evil measure to appear on the ballot in a long time. Vote NO to oppose defunding of rehabilitation programs and implementing new 3 strikes laws, which will increase incarceration in California by ~60,000 people.
LA City Council District 2: Jillian Burgos is taking on an establishment politician. Jillian is a a renter; her opponent has repeatedly tried to mascarade as a landlord in his social media videos. Ethics filings show that he is in fact a landlord and has accepted money from the landlord lobby.
LA City Council District 4: Ysabel Jurado is a tenants’ rights attorney, challenging incumbent Councilmember Kevin de León. He’s one the racist Councilmembers that Joe Biden called on to resign after the LA Fed Tapes scandal exposed their plot to undermine the voting power of Black people and renters.

Thank you so much for your Voting Guide! It was so helpful and it was nice to confirm my thoughts on a lot of things. Have a great day 😊
